This talk will focus on the long and complex history and archaeology of Wimpole park. The park is one of the most significant heritage treasures of Cambridgeshire with one of the largest Scheduled Monuments in the county and being a grade one Registered Park where all the greatest garden designers of the 18th century worked at one time.
Angus Wainwright the National Trust Archaeologist for the East of England. He has been working off an on at Wimpole since 1995, where together with the Cambridge Archaeological Field Group we have done many excavations, field walking projects and geophysics surveys as well as extensive research.
